I am a Haitian American journalist who followed a plate of bacalhau across the Atlantic and never looked back. Based in Lisbon since 2020, my work sits at the intersection of food, wine, culture, and the African diaspora — told with the depth and intimacy they deserve.
My bylines span Cuisine Noir, Fodor's Travel, Refinery29, Edible Boston, Shall We Wine, Uncorked & Cultured, PopSugar, Creative Current, Time Out Portugal, and more. I have been featured in the New York Times, BBC, Wine Enthusiast, Público, HuffPost, and Mensagem de Lisboa, among others. In June 2026, I was invited by Catarina Carvalho, founder and editor of Mensagem de Lisboa, to speak at Mensagem ao Vivo at the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian — part of the European Press Prize programming in Lisbon. From 2025 to March 2026, I served as Editorial Consultant for the English edition of Falstaff Portugal — one of Europe's most prestigious publications covering wine, travel, gastronomy, design, and lifestyle — shaping its voice for an international readership and contributing articles to its print edition. I am credited on the masthead as a contributor.
I am also the author of The Expat Kitchen cookbook and the Quick Guide to Lisbon — born of travel, roots, and the belief that the table is always the best place to begin.
I am the Founder of Creative Current, a global interview series documenting culture, identity, and creative lives — featuring subjects including Portuguese fashion designer Roselyn Silva, British actress T'Nia Miller, and model, musician, and artist Josh Wald — and a Contributing Writer at Cuisine Noir, the James Beard Award-winning magazine celebrating Black food culture worldwide.
